More and more fast food eaters are “Super sizing” their meals, exercising less and playing more video games.
More and more people on planet earth have been induced to follow the typical USA made high stress, fast food, get fat model. Part of this is eating large quantities of nutrient deficient, high calorie, high simple carb(sugars), low fiber, low protein foods.
Yes, we all know that obesity and fat gain is made worse by junk food and the typical stressed American-style lifestyle in general.
What most people do not know are the side effects of typical artificial chemicals that are commonly used in thousands of processed food.
Being “full” with empty calories is the path to health and disease complications down the road.
A British Heart Foundation study showed a surprising result realted to junk food consumption: Most young people did not know of the damaging health effects of junk food.
(Dumbing down education in action?) In a U.K. study of over 1,100 children aged 8 to 15 years, 73% did not know that a poor diet could contribute to an early death.
With 1 out of 3 persons under 16 currently Overweight or Obese (O&O), it is quite possible this generation may be the first to live shorter lives than their parents or simply live with less quality of life at 40+ years of age.
So since many people asked about this topic here’s a chart with inside info. Also in case you need some more motivation to eat natural foods, here’s a list of some of the worst of many artificial chemicals side effects typically used by the junk and processed food industry….
Again the idea is not to scare you, but to help you stand up for yourself and your family by becoming an educated consumer.
A bit of junk food one a week likely won’t hurt you but if most of what you eat is pre-made or processsed or comes in a plastic wrapper you can bet your last dollar or euro that your health and quality of life is being impacted by the many chemicals added to the junk foods, not to mention LACK of vitamens, minerals, fiber ect…..
So take a sec and read over or better yet print out the food chemical side effect chart below and post it in your kitchen. We’d love to here your comments below:->
